1. TASTE JESUS – “Oh, taste … the Lord” Have you ever tasted or tried new foods? You never know how something will taste until you have tried it. In the same way, you will never know how good the Lord Jesus is until you have tried Him. The way you try Jesus is by calling upon His name. “Call to me in times of trouble. I will save you, and you will honor me.” Ps. 50:15 (NCV) REMEMBER! When you are in or have troubles, taste Jesus! When your life doesn’t make sense, when your dreams are shattered, when your plan fails, when your life gets stuck, when your friends fail you, when you don’t know where to turn, when you are ready to give up, when your friends walk out on you, when you can’t find the way out, when you have lost hope, when you feel all alone, when your enemies surround you, when you are afraid, when you have nothing left in this life, when your life is on the edge, when the storms of life hit you, when you can’t find life’s meaning and purpose: taste Jesus!
2. TESTIFY JESUS – “And see that the Lord is good” How do you know the Lord is good? Look around you. Look within you. Look above you. Look beyond yourself. Who made you? How do you exist? Who sustains you? Who cares about you? “By His power we live and move and exist.” Acts 17:28 “The Lord is good to everyone; He is merciful to all he has made.” Psalm 145:9. The Psalms continually testify the goodness of the Lord. Psalm 34 precisely describes the goodness of God toward those who trust in Him. From verse 1-3 praise, 4-7 prayer, 8-10 provision, 11-14 purity, 15-18 preservation, 19-22 protection. I can relate with the Psalmist as I have learned this truth. Many times the Lord God has done great things in my own life. ‘God is good all the time – all the time God is Good’
3. TRUST JESUS – “Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!” To trust Jesus means that you have confidence in Him. You believe in Him. Your life depends on Him. He is the Anchor of your soul. You have faith in Him. The Bible teaches us, “People, trust God all the time. Tell him all your problems, because God is our protection.” Psalm 62:8. “It is better to trust the Lord than to trust people. It is better to trust the Lord than to trust princes” Psalm 118:8-9. Jesus suffered and died because of you. He died that you might live. But on the third day He rose again to save you and me and to save those who put their trust in Him. Trust Jesus for your salvation. Trust Jesus with all your heart. Trust Jesus for living a life with meaning and purpose. Trust Jesus for all you do in life. Trust Jesus always. Friends, if you have never put your trust in the Lord Jesus, you can do it today through faith in Him and you’ll be saved today!
