Jesus said that those who follow Him would be known to the world by the love they show to each other. I think “acts of service” are one of the ways we show love.
FCC is a large church. Sometimes it feels very large and especially when we are in a tough place or have a need. You, me, and others, may not know where to go to get the help we need. In an effort to break down the size of FCC into more local and manageable pieces, the idea of Little Churches was developed. Basically the people who attend FCC are divided into 7 geographical areas called Little Churches. (see map below) Each LC is then shepherded by a pair of Deaconesses and supported by our Deacons and Pastoral Staff. If you have a need, you can contact one of your Deaconesses for prayer, help, support etc. Our Deaconesses are great, but they should not have all the opportunities to experience the joy of serving others, so they are giving you an opportunity to reach out to others in your LC when they have a need and you can uniquely provide an “act of service”.
Please use the entry below to sign-up for ways that you would like to volunteer to offer your acts of service to others in the FCC family that live in your neighborhood! They will experience the joy of receiving, and you will experience the joy of giving. Everybody wins!
