If you are not familiar with Screwtape, it is a series of letters written from an experienced demon named Screwtape, to his neophyte demon nephew, Wormwood. The objective in the elder’s writing is to mentor his nephew in the tempting of the man to whom the nephew has been assigned, with damnation of the soul as the desired end. As the mentoring unfolds, the reader (or audience) is treated to magnificent insights into human nature with its ups and downs, evil and God’s grace.
So, I want you to see Screwtape. Take your sweetie or prospective sweetie on a date. Take your family. Middle school age (a bit of a stretch) on up will enjoy the experience. If you haven’t been to the Hoffman Theater in Walnut Creek, you will love it. There are only four showings. For a discounted tickets, get tickets through the C.S. Lewis Society which was founded and is led by David Thereoux and other FCCers. Call 925-943-7469 or visit: ScrewtapeOnStage.com. (Use CODE CS11)
